CarPrice is a company that develops technologies and infrastructure solutions for selling used cars through an online auction.

Sellers are ordinary people who come to CarPrice offices. The company inspects cars, prepares a description and organizes online bidding among shop car dealerships, dealers and other professional participants in the car market. The success of transactions largely depends on fast communication between auction participants.

At Carprice Autodealers, each client has a personal manager assigned to them, so it was convenient for clients to chat on WhatsApp. However, this resulted in the essence of consumer marketing significant problems for the company:

What have you tried before Jivo

We consider only open source solutions that  implemented in our application. We look at the SaaS service “Chatra”, but it did not have push notifications and outgoing. Messages – functions to initiate a conversation from the operator with a specific user. We also tried Rocket.Chat.

Carprice is a fairly company and any data transfer to external services is a big risk for us. That is why it was important to choose a service for integration that we could trust 100%. In the end, we settled on Jivo and their new product — Mobile SDK.

Connection problems and how we solved them

We were the first to implement Mobile SDK from Jivo, so difficulties were inevitable. We encountered bugs in the beta version, there were problems with service compatibility, there were questions about implementation.

Overall, it was a productive collaboration, as a result of which the guys from Jivo fixed the problems that other clients might have encountered, and we implemented a chat in the CarPrice app.

The mobile application is the main product for our dealers, and the issue of communication with them is key.
