Advertising text by Gary Bencivenga

He researches more than Advertising text anyone else.

Short:

I just like his style – and his results.

He had his own advertising agency and was able to beat big names like Eugene Schwartz etc. as a freelance copywriter.

At direct marketing publisher Rodale, he NEVER lost a split test.

Why?

Here is his biggest secret, which I learned from a rare video seminar of his:

“Make the advertising so valuable that the reader wants to keep it.”

Example?

This ad:

The ad is written like an article and tells you most of the “difficult questions”.

However, not all of them.

Bencivenga is also a Advertising text master of curiosity

And yet you still want to cut out the ad and keep it so that you at least have a selection of questions that can be really difficult.

Unfortunately, Gary has not written a book.

But he has a website where he shares many of his “secrets”.

Bonus: Copywriters worth a look

I will now introduce you to a few copywriters from whom you can also learn.

However, they are not among my favorites.

Here is the bonus list:

Bonus #1: Benjamin D. Suarez
copywriter Ben Suarez

With a big pinch.

Ben Suarez made his first big money with “Make-Money-From-Home” promises.

The classic circular argument: promise people you’ll make money. Make money doing it.

Today his advertising would be classified as a “scam”.

See for yourself:

Ben Suarez
In his advertising texts he promises things like:

“With my system you can earn money at the speed of light…”

Seriously?

Today, such an advertisement would be confiscated by the competition authorities.

But as I said, back then you could get away with it.

In his defense, he did country email list at least use the money to build a halfway decent direct marketing company. Today, he no longer sells “get-rich-quick” rubbish, but runs a marketing company.

On the other hand, Suarez was sentenced to 15 months in prison for influencing witnesses.

Oh well.

Putting all that aside, you can learn a lot from him about how to make a promise so good that even a monk will be weak.

Ben Suarez.

You can read his Advertising text advertisement here

If you understand the principles behind it, you’ll find a lot you can apply to your copywriting – without the shoddy techniques, of course.

Bonus #2: John Carlton
– The inventor what is integrated marketing communications? of the “one-legged golfer”
copywriter John Carlton
~ John Carlton

“No author has had as much stolen as me.”
John Carlton is still alive.

And he has a blog that betting email list he still writes regularly.

Here you can read his blog and learn from him.

John Carlton became a marketing legend thanks to his most famous advertising slogan: the one-legged golfer.
